Virgo Monthly Horoscope for August 2010

Starting off with your finances, and August could be a difficult month. Not necessarily because you’ve got financial problems, but because there’s so much to deal with. Having to deal with other people’s money problems, and perhaps having to deal with false demands. So perhaps some bureaucratic organisation will ask for money, but they’ll have their facts mixed up, and in actual fact nothing will be owed.

But whatever you’re doing, it’s important not to underestimate your brainpower. Throughout August Mercury is moving through your star sign – indeed it stays in Virgo until early October. Your intellect will be at the top of the range, and there’ll be few problems that you can’t get your head around. At the same time, your powers of communication will be brilliant, and if there’s something you want to say then now is your chance.

So if you’re going to a meeting, or you’re involved in detailed negotiations, you mustn’t be afraid of expressing yourself. It’ll be quite clear that you know what you’re talking about, and when it comes to the facts and figures you’re unlikely to be caught out. Under these circumstances you mustn’t be modest.

Yet when dealing with other people you’ll want to keep your distance, at least on an emotional level. This is probably a good thing. You need to be level-headed, and when feelings get expressed there’s the potential for real confusion.

As far as relationships are concerned, I’m not convinced that romance will be your main priority. You won’t be in the mood, and devoting yourself to a single person, to the exclusion of all else, may be difficult if not impossible.

Nonetheless during the last half of the month Uranus is moving through Pisces, your opposite sign, and when dealing with other people there could be some big surprises. Perhaps they’ll do the last thing you expect? And in certain situations, romance may appear from nowhere.

On August 24 there’s a Full Moon, across the main axis of your solar chart. If you are involved in a relationship, of whatever nature, there could be a moment of truth, and for the first time you could understand what it’s all about. You’ll then be in a better position to make a decision.
