Gemini Monthly Horoscope for August 2010

This month there are two competing forces. On one hand you’re going to become increasingly focused on the very foundations of your life. You’ll want to ground yourself, and things like home and family will become very important. However if you deal with people and situations that are completely familiar to you, that aren’t challenging, then you might become very restless very quickly.

It’s because Mars is now in Libra. In the Gemini horoscope this sign is associated with creativity, and also with sports and competitive activity. So you’re going to want to do something special, that makes you stand out. This means that if you’re an actor or a musician you can be very impressive, and your performances will be at the top of the range.

You might also want to engage in an activity that has winners and losers. It might be something like golf or soccer, where you’re playing for honour rather than material rewards. However in terms of your career you might find that you and someone else are going for the same prize. It’s a situation you’ll relish, and chances are you’ll come out the winner.

On August 9 or 10 there’s a New Moon. As a result of this New Moon you might feel that you’ve got something very important to say, and you’ll be trying your hardest to get your message across. But you mustn’t expect immediate results. It probably won’t be until September before the penny drops.

On August 13 or 14 the planet Uranus enters the career sector of your solar chart, and it stays here until early next year. As a result you might have one last chance to finish off a long-standing project, which is revolutionary but also somewhat speculative. You might pull if off, you might not.

As far as relationships are concerned, August looks like being a good month. There’s a conjunction between Venus and Mars that makes you very attractive, and if you’re not shy about revealing your talents then something quite amazing can happen.

Nonetheless I should remind you that on August 21 Mercury, your ruling planet, starts going backwards, and it continues going backwards until September 12 or 13. There might be sudden disruption, especially in the home. Perhaps household repairs should be put on hold? And don’t finalise your plans, because they might have to be changed at short notice.
