Capricorn Monthly Horoscope for July 2010

It’s an important month, because Saturn, your ruling planet, changes sign. Since the beginning of April Saturn has been in Virgo, but on July 21 it moves into Libra, where it stays for a couple of years.

Over the last few months many Capricorns will have been thinking about their real purpose in life, and you might have had to deal with some tough spiritual questions. However the time for questioning is now drawing to a close, and from late July onwards you’ll have to put theory into practice, with particular reference to your career.

Indeed you’re moving into a phase of your life when you can be very successful, and you can establish yourself in a big way. This does mean that you’ll have to work hard, and you’ll have to take responsibility for everything that’s happening, but I’m pretty sure that you’re up to the challenge. Especially as you’ll understand that you’re not just working for your own selfish interests, but also for the collective good.

Looking at things on a short-term level, and on July 11 there’s a total eclipse of the Sun, which takes place in Cancer, your opposite sign. This eclipse will have a big impact on your various relationships. They’ll develop an added dimension, and you’ll then have to decide whether this is a good or a bad thing.

The eclipse could also mark the beginning of a brand new relationship. From July 11 through to the Full Moon on July 25 or 26, you could meet someone new. At first you won’t know what to make of them, but in fact a very significant partnership could be taking root.

Going back to career and business, and on July 10 Venus, your career ruler, moves into Virgo. For the rest of the month your career can prosper, but you must be ready to expand your horizons. So it might be the case that you have do something that’s completely outside your normal experience – that might involve some travel. Three or four weeks break from your normal routine can make all the difference.

Right at the end of July, there’s a conjunction between Mars and Saturn. It’s a heavy duty influence, and it might lead to a frustrating and even unpleasant situation. Yet if you play your cards right there’ll be a way of benefiting from it.
