Cancer Monthly Horoscope for December 2010

December is often a difficult month for Cancerians. There are lots of things to do and appreciation can be thin on the ground. This is particularly the case if you’re celebrating Christmas. It tends to be down to you to make the preparations, and your family and friends might assume that you’ll always be there for them.

As far as the specifics are concerned, on December 5 there’s a New Moon, which makes you very aware of your various responsibilities. However it’ll be important that you prioritise. Some tasks are more important than others, and you need to think about how you can personally benefit.

In particular, you need to make sure that your own core interests are properly served. So avoid doing pieces of work where other people take the credit, and make sure that your own contribution is fully acknowledged.

On a more positive note, this month you’ll have a chance to get yourself together, to put right mistakes from the past. You’ll be able to do this quickly and efficiently, probably without anyone else noticing.

The New Moon could also have implications for your health. You might, for example, want to start an exercise program, that might have an outdoor element. I know, in the Northern Hemisphere it’s approaching the depths of Winter, but what starts with hesitating steps in an icy landscape could finish with something healthy, wholesome and thoroughly fat-burning.

On December 7 or 8 Mars moves into Capricorn, your opposite sign, and it stays here until mid January.

Mars can be a rather aggressive influence, and as December progresses you might find that relationships become difficult to handle. Perhaps partners and lovers will be quick to take offence, and they might enjoy a good argument. And if you’re getting involved in a new relationship, it’s important to be on best behaviour.

As far as your career is concerned, there’s no reason why it can’t be a good month. There is someone you can link up with, who can help you achieve your aims. You might not like this person, you might even argue with them, but nonetheless you can form a useful partnership with them. A bit of toleration on your part can go a long way!

The last week of December sees a stressful aspect between Mars and Saturn. Tension levels start to rise, and there could be an outpouring of pent-up anger. To avoid the situation, it might be best if you spent as little time as possible in your own home. Instead give yourself plenty of space, and don’t get caught up in the Christmas and New Year nonsense.
