Aquarius Monthly Horoscope for July 2010

Sun sign astrology puts a lot of emphasis on the ruling planet – in other words, the planet ruling your sun sign.  Traditionally the ruler of Aquarius is Saturn, though in the Twentieth Century there was a fad for giving it to Uranus.  The ancients didn’t know about Uranus, and it has no place in the system of sign rulerships.

So when making forecasts for Aquarius, astrologers will look closely at the movements of the planet Saturn.

At the beginning of April Saturn moved into Virgo, and you might have felt that things were becoming too complicated.  But hopefully you learnt the importance of the emotional dimension, and this will put you in good stead for the future.

On July 21 Saturn moves into Libra, and it stays in this sign for a few years.  For many Aquarians it will be a time of spiritual searching.  There’ll be something that you’re looking for, but you won’t be quite sure what it is.  Yet if you listen to your heart then soon enough you’ll find your path.

It’s also possible that travelling becomes very important.  There’s somewhere you need to visit, perhaps for a long period of time.  You therefore mustn’t be too attached to your current location – the body wanders, the soul stays in exactly the same place.

As far as relationships are concerned, July looks like being an interesting month.  There’s a lot of activity in Leo, your opposite sign, so there’ll be many different people to deal with.  They’ll have large than life personalities, and given the chance they could do you the world of good.  But there’s one relationship that really stands out, and it might all hinge around a message.  Keep it simple, but don’t forget the emotional content.

On July 11 there’s a total eclipse of the Sun.  This eclipse could make you think very carefully about health and fitness.  In the past you might have felt that a good diet and a healthy lifestyle can wait until later, but the eclipse will force you to look at the situation in a new way.  Perhaps you’ll read a scare story on the internet, or in a newspaper, which encourages you to rethink your priorities.  Though I must emphasise that I’m not forecasting health problems – I’m forecasting a more responsible approach towards health and fitness.

On July 25 or 26 there’s a Full Moon, across the main axis of your solar chart.  Relationships of all kinds come into focus.  You can see how they’re benefiting you, but you can also see the cost – and under these circumstances the costs and benefits have to be weighed up.  And whatever decisions you make, it’s not a simple question of being right or wrong.

At the very end of the month, on July 31, Mars makes a conjunction to Saturn.  Between July 30 and August 1 you should avoid travelling, unless it’s absolutely necessary.
