On Thursday June 15 2017 at 11.18 am London time there is an opposition aspect between the Sun in Gemini and Saturn in Sagittarius. It’s an aspect which is not unusual – it happens once a year. However there is no doubt that it is a heavy influence. The Sun is our creativity and zest for life, but when it hits Saturn we feel like we have hit a brick wall.
It’s interesting that the Sun-Saturn opposition came the day after the Federal Reserve decided to raise interest rates, and also to rein back its massive balance sheet, which it had expanded to keep the economy going. I suppose this fits the Sun-Saturn symbolism, of restriction and tightening, but is the move really going to be success? Will the Fed have to back-track?
Also, the opposition comes the day after Donald Trump’s 71st birthday. Might this spell trouble for him? I suspect it won’t. His solar return chart has Jupiter rising, receiving favourable aspects from the Moon and Mercury. I think for the moment he is protected.
Finally June 15 2017 is the 181st anniversary of the state of Arkansas’ admission into the Union. Maybe the state will feel the Sun-Saturn influence more than most places.
