I don’t post here much – hardly anyone reads this blog, and astrology is out of fashion. For myself, I couldn’t care whether astrology works or not. It certainly doesn’t work anything like as well as some of its practitioners claim. Indeed, the key to practicing astrology is knowing what doesn’t work, and keeping quiet unless you get a very clear signal.
When it came to Brexit, I was sure that I knew what was going to happen – the astrology was clear. In terms of Trump’s victory, I didn’t make a prediction, one way or another, because I was conflicted. Moving to Scotland, I feel 99% confident that Nicola Sturgeon is a ticking bomb, and I just want to re-iterate my previous post, that I made last June.
Nicola Sturgeon, the Scottish First Minister, has said she wants a referendum, as early as the Autumn of 2018. Now it is possible that she won’t get her way, but let’s assume she does.
As I wrote in my previous article, Sturgeon’s luck changes in September 2018. She moves from a very fortunate phase of life to something much less favourable. It’s a major change, which can effect the whole future of the entities that she leads.
It might be helpful, when considering astrology and leadership, to think of John Boorman’s film Excalibur, which has as its theme the legend of King Arthur. In answer to the question “What does it mean to be king?” Merlin replies
You will be the land,
and the land will be you.
If you fail, the land will perish.
As you thrive, the land will blossom.
A leader is chosen, and the fate of the land is entwined with that of its leader. During the whole sixteen year period from September 2002 through to 2018 Nicola Sturgeon is in a phase of life ruled by Jupiter. Her Jupiter is well-placed, and she’s lucky. Perhaps if Alex Salmond had stepped down as first minister before the 2014 referendum on independence, and given her the job, then the ‘Yes’ vote would have won. On the other hand, a country’s leader reflects its fate, and maybe Scotland wasn’t ready for independence in 2014.
Unfortunately for Sturgeon, time is now running out. After September 12 2018 she will lose her touch, and if she is still First Minister in the Autumn of 2014 she and the SNP have no chance of winning a second referendum. Indeed the continued leadership of Nicola Sturgeon after September 12 2018 will threaten the whole future of her party, though I suspect her political position will be untenable immediately after she loses. The problem isn’t just that she move out of a fortunate phase of life, it’s that she moves into something very unfortunate. The phase starting in September 2018 is ruled by Saturn, and her Saturn is seriously bad news, being in Aries the sign of its fall, prominently placed in the Seventh House of open enemies.
So what is to be done? The SNP could get rid of Nicola Sturgeon at the first opportunity. Alternatively Sturgeon needs to have a referendum before September 12 2018, and then quit politics, because an independent Scotland led by a Saturn-dominated Nicola Sturgeon would be a disaster. I am not saying that she would win this referendum, but at least she’d have a chance. However, it seems too late for this, and on an unconscious level Nicola Sturgeon seems to have already chosen the manner of her political demise. The question then remains as to whether she will take the SNP down with her.
