One of Britain’s most notorious killers is about to be released from prison. Her name is Tracie Andrews, and on December 1 1996 she stabbed her boyfriend Lee Harvey to death, in his car. At first she denied involvement in the crime, saying he was a victim of road rage. But eventually the truth got out, and she was convicted of murder. The judge ordered that she serve a minimum of fourteen years, and now she’s about to be released.
Tracie Andrews is an Aries, born on April 9 1969. Aries can be a tempestuous sign, that often acts first and thinks later.
To be more precise, Tracie Andrews has her Sun at around nineteen degrees of Aries. Traditionally this is a very strong place for the Sun, because, to use the jargon, it’s on the degree of its maximum exaltation. Yet it can be a placement that’s overly proud, and it can run roughshod over other people’s lives.
Interestingly, Josef Fritzl, the Austrian who kept his daughter and her children in a cellar, was born on April 9. So was Jay Wesley Neill, who killed four people while robbing a bank. And also the Russian mass murderer Alexander Pichushkin, aka ‘the Chessboard Killer’, who was responsible for at least forty-eight deaths.
No-one except Tracie Andrews knows exactly what happened in the car, and although she admits to killing Lee Harvey, she maintains that she acted in self-defence.
Her horoscope suggests that at times she might find it difficult to express herself in a normal and healthy way. In particular, her Venus, which is the planet of relationships, is badly placed. It’s in Aries, the sign of its fall, and it’s also retrograde and conjunct the Sun. So relating to other people, in particular to her boyfriend, might have been hard work. Furthermore, she has no traditional planets in the Water signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. She is therefore someone who should avoid situations that are strongly emotional, because she is unlikely to be on secure ground.
Her boyfriend, Lee Harvey, was born on September 20 1971, making him a Virgo. According to sun sign astrology, Aries and Virgo is one of the worst combinations in the book. Aries is all about action, while Virgoans tend to be more reserved, and at the same time they can be very critical of the people around them. So you can imagine what might happen if analytical Virgo started criticising impulsive Aries.
The situation was probably made worse by the fact that Lee Harvey, like Tracie Andrews, had no traditional planets in Water signs. From a relationship point of view this was disastrous, as I don’t think either party would have had any real emotional understanding of the other.
I also notice that Tracie Andrews has a conjunction between Jupiter and the South Node, in late Virgo. Jupiter is the planet of excess, the South Node represents the past, and Virgo is about small details. Together this configuration could be about over-reaction to something small, and perhaps, for Tracie Andrews, it’s a line of least resistance. Lee Harvey has the Sun in late Virgo, very close to Tracie Andrews’ Jupiter-Node conjunction. So something about his personality could have encouraged this over-reaction.
As far as I am concerned the case of Tracie Andrews and Lee Harvey is a cautionary tale. Certain horoscopes just don’t go together, and they can symbolise highly destructive chemistry. And I’m sure that if the relationship had never happened Tracie Andrews would never have killed and Lee Harvey would still be alive. But I suppose when non-arranged relationships get under way one of the last things anyone thinks about is astrology.
