This week there is some serious outer planet activity. Jupiter is making a stressful, 180-degree aspect to Saturn, while Saturn is making a 90-degree aspect to Pluto. Many of us are going to feel pressurised. We’ll be aware of what we can do, but we’ll also be very aware of what’s holding us back.
From a political and economic point of view, the Jupiter-Saturn aspect creates a battle between the optimists and the pessimists. Will the global situation improve, or will it collapse? And this could be reflected in the movements of stock and commodity prices.
Having said that, the Jupiter-Saturn aspect is not a one-day wonder. It describes the times we’re living in, in 2010 and 2011. Broadly speaking it’s a time when we have to face reality, when we have to wrap up the past rather than create the future.
As far as the twelve star signs are concerned, here are my forecasts, for the week starting on Monday August 16:
Aries Full steam ahead – or so it seems. However if you go too fast you’ll quickly run into trouble. Other people have to be consulted, at every step of the way. While delays might be annoying, they’re preferable to a screaming argument.
Taurus This week you’re distracted. You’re perhaps focusing on far-flung fantasies, that have little hope of realisation. It’s therefore time to bring yourself down to earth, and to focus on what’s possible, in the real world.
Gemini Mercury, your ruling planet, is slowing down, and over the weekend it comes to a standstill. It’ll become increasingly difficult to get anything done, and you might have second thoughts about some of your recent decisions. Don’t feel guilty about changing your mind.
Cancer It’s probably best that you do things on your own rather than in a team. Other people could slow you down in a big way, and as a result you could get really angry. Listen to your family, but don’t necessarily do what they tell you.
Leo The Sun, your ruler, is moving towards Regulus, the royal star. As the week progresses you can link up with important people, and you needn’t be overawed by them. Particularly as you’ve got something that they want.
Virgo Your ideas are coming together nicely, but the time for action hasn’t yet arrived. You have to go through your plans with a fine tooth-comb, and if that take three or four weeks then so be it. Partners and lovers are worried about something, but with your counselling skills you can cheer them up.
Libra Jupiter aspects Saturn, across the main axis of your solar chart. There’s something you’re holding onto, very tightly, but there’s pressure to let go. It’s not about either pride or compromise – instead it’s about acting correctly, in a manner that accords with your destiny.
Scorpio Venus is moving towards a conjunction with Mars, your ruling planet. So this week your sex appeal will be at the top of the range, and just about everyone you meet will fall under your spell. But it’s the kind of sex appeal that you don’t have to shout about.
Sagittarius Jupiter, your ruling planet, is making a stressful, 90-degree aspect to Saturn. You become aware that something is in your way, and it’s something unexpected. A change of friends can often bring a change of fortune.
Capricorn This week you’re a serious player, and not someone to be taken lightly. In your career you’ve got the magic touch and if there’s something you want you just have to ask. Your home and family could be annoying – but you mustn’t get annoyed!
Aquarius People talk too much, or so it seems, and you might want to shut your ears to their silly words. However you’re being told something very important, and if you ignore what you’re being told there could be cause for regret.
Pisces You’re in the mood for spending money, but you also know that resources are tight. You therefore need to make the most of what you’ve got. If you’re prepared to use your brain, something expensive can be got for free.
