Archie looks at the week ahead, and makes forecasts for each of the twelve star signs.
I’m not much interested in celebrities and royalty, but I can’t help noticing that the fortunes of Sarah, the Duchess of York, are starting to improve. You’ll perhaps remember that she got caught out in a tabloid sting, where she accepted money from a journalist claiming to be a rich businessman. She said that such payments would give access to her former husband, the Duke of York.
The situation for Sarah seemed grim, but when I looked at her horoscope things didn’t look so bad. I wrote:
From August 2010 onwards there is scope for recovery, perhaps with the help of another person…
With the right attitude she can form a profitable business partnership, and at the same time, I believe that her former husband will be surprisingly forgiving.
I don’t know what’s going on with her husband, but according to news reports Oprah Winfrey has offered Sarah her own chat show, and this could make a big difference to her beleaguered finances. I know the news came out in late July, and not in August, but it’s only an offer, and not the deal. It’s surely a sign that the worst is over for Sarah.
Looking at the week ahead, and I’m a bit worried. On Monday Saturn and Uranus make an exact opposition aspect, which later in the week gets triggered by Mars – on Friday Mars is opposition Uranus, on Saturday it’s conjunct Saturn. So this week, especially on Friday and Saturday, we need to be very careful. Things could go unexpectedly wrong, there’ll be a lot of anger and the chances of accidents and disasters will be higher than average.
In the jargon, on Friday and Saturday Mars is on the Saturn-Uranus midpoint. Uranus is also on the Mars-Saturn midpoint and Saturn is on the Mars-Uranus midpoint. It’s an astrological nightmare, and on paper these two days are arguably the most dangerous of the whole year. If you want to stay at home, out of harm’s way, don’t feel ashamed about it. Though as we saw with Zsa Zsa Gabor’s recent accident, even being in bed, watching TV, can be life-threateningly hazardous.
Now I’ve got that warning out of the way, I’ll do a quick forecast for each of the twelve signs:
Aries Mars is moving into Libra, your opposite sign. Between now and mid-September you must make a greater effort to listen to other people. On Friday and Saturday hasty action could get you into big trouble.
Taurus Can other people be trusted? They mean well, but they could nonetheless create a big mess. It also seems that partners and lovers feel very frustrated, and if you can’t help them you should probably stay out of their way.
Gemini Mercury moves into Virgo. Your brain moves into top gear, but you’re on best form when you’re at home, or somewhere very secluded. With laser-beam precision you can sort out the most difficult problems.
Cancer It could be a tense week. Mars, Saturn and Uranus are forming a problematic line-up, and you might feel that circumstances beyond your control are pushing you to the brink. It’s a time for talking rather than worrying.
Leo With the Sun moving through your star sign you continue to be in a strong position, but you can’t help noticing that other people are struggling to make progress. Perhaps you should lend them a hand?
Virgo Mercury moves into your star sign. It’s a great time for Virgos, when you can start making a big impression. Through the power of your speech you can take the initiative. An old aggravation loses its power.
Libra As the week progresses you’ll find yourself getting annoyed. While it’s possible that other people are being unreasonable, there’s a danger that you yourself are being intolerant. Try to be more flexible. Partners are being careless.
Scorpio In midweek Mars moves from Virgo to Libra. You might feel a temporary loss of power, and on Friday and Saturday there could be genuine problems. These problems need to be worked on, but you mustn’t be in too much of a hurry.
Sagittarius There are favourable developments in your career. You realise what needs to be done, and you’ll be helped by your complete command of the facts and figures. Don’t be afraid of arguments – logic can be your sword.
Capricorn Be very careful. It could be a very difficult week, when hardly anything runs smoothly. There could be numerous delays, and other people could be singularly unhelpful. If something’s risky, then don’t get involved.
Aquarius August is nearly here, and you might want to do some travelling. But is it really a good idea? The further away from home you get, the greater the chance that things will go wrong. It’s better to be sensible than exciting.
Pisces Don’t underestimate other people. Mercury is moving into Virgo, your opposite sign, and there are people in your life who are very smart. If you listen to what they say you’ll benefit, but if you ignore them you could end up making a fool of yourself.
Whatever your star sign, be careful out there – and have a great week!
