If you’ve spent any time on the internet over the last few days, you’ll have noticed that the name ‘Lindsay Lohan’ keeps cropping up.
In case you don’t know, Lindsay Lohan is an actress in her early twenties, who has been in the spotlight since childhood – she was in a Disney film at the age of eleven.
However at the moment it’s her off-screen antics that are getting most of the attention. Over the last few years she has been arrested on more than one occasion for driving under the influence, and she has also been arrested for cocaine possession.
Recently there were news stories about an alcohol monitoring bracelet that she was obliged to wear, courtesy of a court order. Then yesterday, July 6, she was sentenced to ninety days in prison, for violating the terms of her probation.
Linday Lohan was born on July 2 1986, which makes her a Cancerian. This raises an important question:
WHAT IS IT WITH CANCERIAN WOMEN?
If you read just about any textbook on astrology, you’ll discover that Cancerians are very traditional, and they put safety before excitement. The home and family are what matter and they won’t do anything to rock the boat.
For many Cancerians this might be the case. Yet over the years I’ve noticed that some Cancerians, invariably women, have the capacity for completely irresponsible behaviour, especially when they’re under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They don’t know when to stop, and if you’re at a drunken party, the person who is loudest, who is making the biggest fool of themselves, is nine times out of ten a female Crab.
As I’ve said, this is not textbook astrology. It’s observational astrology. As to why some Cancerians might have problems with alcohol and drugs, I would suggest that it has something to do with security. Cancerians don’t like being isolated, and having a sense of belonging is very important to them. When they’re with other people they might, in the first instance, feel alienated. They therefore have a need to build emotional bridges, and a few of them attempt to do this with alcohol and drugs.
But we’re not talking about the creation of a fuzzy comfort zone. Cancerian women, when they become inebriated, can be very troublesome, and they can fall out with the people around them. It’s probably because the natural defensiveness of their sun sign gets out of hand, and starts becoming aggressive.
Finally, there’s the question of why Cancerian women might have a particular relationship to drugs and alcohol, that’s not shared so much by their male counterparts.
It’s probably because the Sun is a male planet. So men with the Sun in Cancer are relatively comfortable with this Cancerian energy, while for women it can be more of a battle. Or am I just being sexist?
