If you’re English, the following week could be very depressing, following the national team’s exit from the World Cup. If you don’t know, they were beating 4-1 by the Germans, in the second round of the competition.
I didn’t make too many predictions about the World Cup, but I was always very sure that England weren’t going to win. As I said on June 11:
…the one thing I do know is, that it’s not going to be England. So if you’re an England fan, put away your flag and your beer and go back to work.
The partial eclipse on Saturn really sealed the deal. When you set the eclipse horoscope for London, Saturn is exactly on the Ascendant. And Saturn is the planet that brings us down to earth, very often with a bump. Feelings of disappointment could affect the country in a big way, remembering that England’s defeat will have an impact on the economy, for example in terms of sales of beer and sports goods.
Even if you’re not English, Saturday’s eclipse could have a lingering influence. Over the week there could be a feeling that something in our lives has reached a critical stage, that things will never be the same again.
If you’re American, then you’re probably pretty stoical about your team being knocked out of the World Cup, especially as soccer isn’t an integral part of your national identity. And over the long weekend, as you celebrate July 4, the Moon is powering through Aries. You can therefore have a great time, and I think that parties and other social gathering will exceed your expectations, many times over.
