It looks like being a strange week, where nothing will be quite as it seems. There’ll be deception and delusion, and if we’re not careful we could end up chasing wild fantasies.
There are a number of reasons for this situation.
For one thing Neptune, the planet of confusion, comes to a standstill on Monday. It then goes backwards until the beginning of November. At the time of the standstill there could be serious indecision, and it’s not surprising that the BP oil spill continues to hit the news – the latest being that the attempts to plug the well have failed. And in case you don’t know, the planet Neptune has a special connection with the oil industry.
As the week progresses, Mars moves towards an opposition aspect with Neptune, and this aspect becomes exact on Thursday. The unsuccessful attempts to plug the well can perhaps be seen as a metaphor for what’s going on. It’ll be difficult to get anything done, and our attempts to make progress could hit a brick wall.
We also have to be careful that we don’t get involved in anything that’s sleazy, underhand or God forbid, criminal. The temptations will exist, and things that are attractive but dangerous will be almost irresistible. However we must remember that we always have a choice.
Although everyone will be affected by the Mars-Neptune aspect, Aries and Scorpio will probably feel it the most.
While all this is going on Jupiter is moving through the last degree of Pisces, and this is where we find Scheat, a fixed star that’s associated with disasters, shipwrecks and floods. So it’s another week where activities connected with water should be avoided.
On Sunday Jupiter moves from Pisces to Aries. A new energy will be entering the World’s consciousness, and over the Summer there may be an opportunity to break free from the limitations of the past. And those that take the initiative can strike lucky in a big way. Or put another way, fortune favours the brave.
