Sarah Ferguson, aka the Duchess of York, aka the Queen of England’s former daughter-in-law, has just hit the headlines, in a very embarrassing way.
It was a classic sting, organised by Britain’s premier tabloid, The News of the World. One of their journalists pretended to be an Indian businessman, who wanted access to Prince Andrew, who Sarah Ferguson used to be married to.
The journalist met up with Sarah Ferguson, and she said that she could arrange access, for a price tag of five hundred thousand pounds. The idea was that the supposed businesman could benefit financially from contact with the Prince.
The journalist gave Sarah Ferguson an upfront payment, of forty thousand US Dollars, and the whole meeting was caught on film. This incident has clearly been a disaster for her reputation.
As far as the astrology is concerned, Sarah Ferguson was born on October 15 1959, making her a Libran. She is known as a sociable extrovert, and this would fit in with the normal characteristics of her star sign.
It’s also the case that many Librans can spend money that they can’t reasonably afford, and this would again fit the star sign. One of the reasons that Sarah Ferguson fell for the sting was because she needed the money, and this was a legacy of her past over-expenditure.
Though to really understand Sarah Ferguson, one has to look beyond the star sign. In a female horoscope the Moon is usually more important and more descriptive than the Sun, and she has the Moon in Aries, making an 120-degree aspect to Jupiter in Sagittarius. This aspect makes her lucky, but it also makes her somewhat excessive, so the fruits of her luck could so easily be frittered away.
The Moon in Aries is often a very impulsive influence, especially as it’s close to a point in space known as the South Node of the Moon. There’s an ingrained pattern of impulsiveness, that perhaps has its roots in previous incarnations.
As for Sarah Ferguson’s future, in Indian astrology she’s going through a particularly difficult period of life. The period started in September 2009 and continues until August 2010. Not surprisingly, one feature of this period is financial difficulty, so she would be looking for any reasonable way of solving her money problems.
Clearly Sarah Ferguson’s problems will continue for some time to come, however I am not convinced that the picture is entirely disastrous. From August 2010 onwards there is scope for recovery, perhaps with the help of another person.
In fact, from a relationship point of view, the period from August 2010 through to May 2011 could be crucial. With the right attitude she can form a profitable business partnership, and at the same time, I believe that her former husband will be surprisingly forgiving.
Though I must emphasise that Sarah Ferguson will only get her luck back if she does a lot of work on herself.
By the way, when I started writing this article, I didn’t think I’d be ending it on such a positive note.
