Sarah Palin was born on February 11 1964, so I’ll wish her a happy forty-sixth birthday, and as a present for her, I’ll have a quick look at her horoscope.
She is of course an Aquarian and in a recent article I made a connection between Aquarius and conservative politics.
There is also a rather odd coincidence, concerning her February 11 birthday. Twenty years before she made her unsuccessful attempt to be Vice President, another Aquarian stood for this position. This was Lloyd Bentsen, who was Michael Dukakis’ running mate in the 1988 Presidential election.
Lloyd Bentsen was born exactly 43 years before Sarah Palin, on February 11 1921. February 11 is also the birthday of Jeb Bush, former Governor of Florida and brother of George Bush Junior. He was born on February 11 1953.
Sarah Palin fans would probably also point out that Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12 1809.
Taking a closer look at Sarah Palin’s horoscope, and we hit an immediate problem. We don’t know her time of birth with any real confidence. This means that there are limits to what we can say, especially when it comes to making predictions.
Nonetheless I’ll give it a go.
As far as her year ahead is concerned, I don’t believe that very much will happen. She might have big plans, but in the short term I have my doubts whether they’ll materialise.
It’s not because she’s in a bad position. It’s just that she won’t be able to capitalise on the opportunities put in front of her. I’m also of the opinion that right now she doesn’t know what she wants to do, and I don’t believe that she has yet made up her mind about whether or not she wants to make a bid for the White House in 2012. It perhaps won’t be until June or July of this year that she’ll be ready to make a decision.
Looking at the longer term picture, I am of course hampered by a lack of a birth time, and what I say is therefore provisional.
However looking at her horoscope, she has both Venus and Jupiter in Aries. Using Indian astrology, these two planets are in Pisces rather than Aries. Jupiter is the ruler of Pisces, and Venus is exalted in this sign. So from an Indian perspective their sign placement is very fortunate.
Yet until November 2011 Saturn is making life difficult for Sarah Palin, and there could be times when she’ll be frustrated and angry. And if she’s got Presidential ambitions, she might feel that she’s getting nowhere.
As far as advice is concerned, I believe that on a personal level Sarah Palin needs to focus on her spirituality, and start questioning some of her own core religious beliefs. Nothing is quite as simple as it seems.
On a political level, between now and November 2011 she must get to grips with foreign policy issues. Perhaps she can get some private tuition from an ex-diplomat, or something like that. It’ll be hard work, but come 2012 the rewards could be tangible.
From November 2011 onwards, Sarah Palin’s luck starts improving, just in time for the Republican primaries. I therefore believe that if she wants to be the Republican candidate in the 2012 Presidential elections, she will be.
