I didn’t think last week was going to be great, and so it turned out. There was a lot of tensions, and the stock markets got hammered. In the Pakistani city of Karachi there were bomb attacks which killed dozens of people. In Connecticut there’s just been a devastating explosion, at a power plant.
I suspect that the Full Moon on January 30 is continuing to have an influence, and in the following week, up until the New Moon on February 13 or 14, there could be continuing turbulence.
Yet for most of us the next week should be calmer.
On Wednesday February 10 Mercury moves into Aquarius. On Thursday February 11 Venus moves into Pisces. So two planets are changing sign, and that’s going to change the energy, almost certainly for the better.
Venus’ movement into Pisces is particularly significant. In the jargon Venus is ‘exalted’ in Pisces. So activities connected with love and beauty should prosper. And in a general sense Venus is a lucky planet, so the overall mood should start improving. Venus stays in Pisces until March 7.
However on Saturday Mercury is making a stressful aspect to Mars, It’s an influence that can be argumentative, and coming to an agreement could be difficult if not impossible. If you’re spending the weekend at home be extra careful – you and your family could have a difference of opinion.
On Sunday February 14, at 2.51 am GMT, there’s a New Moon. That’s 9.51 pm on February 13 in New York.
This New Moon represents a new beginning, and in a few days time I’ll be writing an in-depth article about this very important astrological event.
Oh, I almost forgot. Sunday is Valentine’s Day. From a romantic point of view the picture on Sunday is excellent, because the Moon is making a conjunction to Venus. This means that activities of a romantic nature have a high chance of success. In the process you don’t have to original – fluffy, candlelit clichés will be just the ticket.
