Every week I’m going to do an astrological forecast, that will focus on what’s going on in the heavens, without regard to people’s star signs.
Very often an astrological event will affect great chunks of the population, and it’s therefore a good idea to observe the main astrological indicators.
Right now we’re still feeling the impact of a New Moon eclipse, which took place on January 15. This coincided with Mercury starting to go forward, after three weeks of retrograde motion.
The stock markets took a real hammering, and this I believe has much to do with the combination of the eclipse and Mercury’s direction-change. Also, Saturn recently turned retrograde, which could have exacerbated the problem.
Having said all that, Jupiter is now in Pisces, and it’s position is getting stronger and stronger. The negativity of the last week should pass, certainly by the New Moon in mid-February.
As far as this week is concerned, it might be a real headache.
Venus and Mars are making a stressful, 180-degree aspect, which is exact on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27. Relationships become very intense, especially if you’re an Aries, Taurus, Libra or Scorpio. There may be some real disagreements, and heavy emotions should most certainly be avoided.
During the last part of the week tension levels go even higher. The Sun makes hard aspects to Mars and Uranus on Thursday and Friday, there’s a Full Moon on Friday/Saturday, and Mars makes an 135-degree aspect to Uranus on Sunday. While all this is going on, Saturn is making a 90-degree contact to Pluto.
We should therefore avoiding doing anything dangerous this week, especially over the week-end. We should be especially careful when travelling, or operating machinery.
Having said that, I think most of us will experience these stressful aspects on a purely psychological level. It might feel that we’re under pressure, that something has to give, and we must therefore, at all costs, keep our cool!
Finally, I will elaborate on the Full Moon, which is exact at 6.18 am GMT on Saturday January 30 and whose astrological influence will last at least a fortnight.
This Full Moon is tied in with Mars, and it could be disruptive and even violent. Certain parts of the world could be especially vulnerable to its influence. For example Southern Mexico, Guatemala, Eastern India and Bangladesh. Also, a number of East European countries may be affected, in particular the Slovak Republic, Hungary, Poland and Lithuania.
