One of this week’s big stories in Europe was the conviction of Helg Sgarbi, the Swiss-Italian gigolo, for blackmailing Susanne Klatten, a German billionairess who owns a large stake in the automobile company BMW.
Helg Sgarbi is a charismatic seducer, who was able to grab the attention of rich women. Helped by his intelligence and his language skills, he persuaded some of his victims to hand over large somes of money. His biggest catch was Susanne Klatten. He got something like seven million Euros (nine million US Dollars) out of her, but he tried getting more, blackmailing her with video footage of them having sex. At this stage Susanne Klatten called in the police.
Susanne Klatten is a Taurus, born on April 28 1962. Being a Taurus she’s going to be very aware of her material surroundings, and she’ll understand the value of money. However some Taureans have a gullible steak. It’s because they like to judge things by what they look and feel like, and very often they don’t dig deeper. So when Helg Sgarbi spun his stories, and flattered her with his attention, she might have taken it at face value. That’s very often the Taurean approach – they’re reliable people who tend to assume reliability and transparency in others.
This is particularly the case when it comes to relationships. Taureans are usually very physical, and they want a close, tactile relationship. Touching, and physical intimacy, really are important. And the person who can provide it can have the Taurus eating out of their hand.
Susanne Klatten’s Taurus Sun makes an opposition aspect to Neptune in Scorpio. Neptune is the planet of subterfuge, and this aspect could have made her vulnerable to deception. It could also have described the author of her misfortune – in the female horoscope the Sun can represent men, and with the Sun opposition Neptune we can see a deceptive man, who was perhaps personified by Helg Sgarbi.
It was a bit difficult finding Helg Sgarbi’s birthday, but I think I found it – in the Süddeutsche Zeitung:
Helg Russak, der nach seiner Heirat mit Franziska Sgarbi deren Namen annahm, ist am 6. Januar 1965 in Zürich geboren.
Originally Helg Russak, he changed his name to Helg Sgarbi, and being born on January 6 1965 he’s a Capricorn. Which slightly surprised me. Capricorns are usually solid, down to Earth people, who are pretty straightforward. However some Capricorns can be obsessed with money, and in any situation they’ll wonder how they can benefit. And as a result there’s a danger of greed – which we saw with Helg Sgarbi. Having obtained a huge sum of money, he wanted an even huger amount, and that was his undoing.
Helg Sgarbi has a 90-degree aspect between his Venus and Mars. Venus-Mars aspects can make people sexually attractive, or at least give them sexual charisma. Furthermore his Mercury in Sagittarius was close to being 45 degrees to his Venus-Mars midpoint – in the jargon, he has Mercury on the Venus-Mars midpoint. So he had a natural ability to sweet-talk his victims, and he must have sounded very convincing.
Helg Sgarbi also has a conjunction between Mercury and Venus, which again emphasises his communication skills. This conjunction is close to the South Node of the Moon, a point that’s closely connected with Karma, and in particular to states of being in previous incarnations.
As I see it, he is refusing to move on. In previous incarnations he had developed his charisma, and it became increasingly easy for him to get results.
In this incarnation the rewards for this behaviour became so good that he couldn’t give it up. Indeed, he might have lost control – in Indian astrology the South Node of the Moon is sometimes equated to a dragon that has lost its head. Despite his intelligence, Helg Sgarbi couldn’t stop the express train of his desires, and he eventually came off the rails. Or, to be more precise, he was given a six year prison sentence.
