2009 Jupiter forecasts for the twelve signs

Jupiter’s movement into Aquarius

On January 5 2009 Jupiter moved into Aquarius, and it stays in this sign until January 18 2010. In many respects this sign change is good news. In 2008 Jupiter was moving through Capricorn, a sign that it wasn’t very happy in. There was an obsessive focus on money, as well as a tendency towards pessimism. Each and every one of us was affected by Jupiter in Capricorn, and it probably made the world’s economic turmoil worse than it should have been. The future really looked black!

Jupiter’s movement into Aquarius isn’t going to bring immediate relief, and clearly 2009 is going to be a tough year. However people won’t be as negative as they had been, and they’ll start to look to the future. And the most gloomy economic predicaitons for 2009 are unlikely to come to past. Indeed as 2009 progresses, they’ll be a growing sense of relief. Perhaps the billions of dollars that have been pumped into the economy will finally start having an impact?

On an individual level, Jupiter’s movement into Aquarius will affect the twelve signs in different ways, and below I give a quick analysis for each star sign.
Aries

On January 5 2009 Jupiter moved into Aquarius, where it stays for over a year. In 2009 your social life could be transformed. Meeting lots of people, who might have a view of the world that’s very different from your own. Before arguing, you should first listen – you might learn something valuable. If you can liberate yourself from the past your hopes for the future could soon be realised.
Taurus

Jupiter has moved into the career sector of your solar chart, where it stays for the rest of the year. So in 2009 you can be very successful, provided you think big and you’re not afraid of being original. You also mustn’t be afraid of new technology – your understanding of computers can make the difference between success and failure.
Gemini

Jupiter is now in a sector of you chart that’s both spiritual and philosophical. Over the course of 2009 you can move beyond the bounds of everyday reality, and start experiencing life on a new level. Many Geminis can benefit from travel – but it’s the educational side that matters, not just enjoying yourself.
Cancer

Jupiter has moved out of Capricorn, your opposite sign, into Aquarius. Over the course of 2009 relationships could become more complicated – the emotional dimension will be difficult to avoid, and you’ll start seeing people in a way that’s both powerful and very intense. Complex financial negotiations could work in your favour – but you must insist on absolute honesty.
Leo

On January 5 Jupiter moved into Aquarius, your opposite sign. Between now and January 2010 relationships are going to take on a new importance – you’ll realise that on your own there are limits to what you can achieve, but in a partnership you’ll be a force to be reckoned with.
Virgo

In 2009 you’ll start taking a new look at the areas of health and fitness. And perhaps you’ll realise that in the past you’d got it wrong, that it’s now time for a fresh approach. However don’t fall prey to the latest fad – your approach to your body must be sensible and balanced. Partners and loved ones are looking for a change of routine. They’re not being entirely reasonable, but there’s room for negotiation.
Libra

Jupiter has now moved into Aquarius, and it stays here until January 2010. So in 2009 it’s important for Librans to be creative, to show off your talents without apologising. You might get some criticism, but soon enough such criticism will be drowned out by the voices of praise.
Scorpio

2009 is a time of consolidation – after all, Jupiter will be moving through the security sector of your solar chart. You must make sure that everything’s shipshape, and perhaps you should spend more time at home. When you’re happy in your own home, the big picture becomes clearer – and perhaps also more pleasant.
Sagittarius

Jupiter, your ruling planet, has now moved into Aquarius – where it stays until January 18 2010. Over the next year there’ll be a lot of communicating, and you might also do more travel than expected. But communication can take many forms, and it’ll be important that you get to grips with new technology. However don’t spend too much time on your mobile – the potential health hazards of mobile phones aren’t properly understood.
Capricorn

On January 5 Jupiter moved out of your star sign. Over the last year you’ve spent a lot of time thinking about yourself and your talents, and trying to work out what the best direction might be. You’ve found some answers, and the next challenge is to find a proper reward for your many skills.
Aquarius

On Monday January 5 Jupiter moved into your star sign, where it stays until January 18 2010. So over the next year or more you’re going to be very lucky and a lot of things are going to go your way. And don’t be afraid of having big ideas – with the right attitude theory can be turned into practice.
Pisces

In the first week of January Jupiter, your ruler, moved from Capricorn to Aquarius, where it stays until January 2010. In one sense you’re going to be more forward-thinking, and less focused on minor, material details. But in some respects 2009 is a time of preparation, when you have to get yourself ready for the next decade.
