Death of a family – an Aries company, a Virgo massacre

by Archie Dunlop on September 3, 2008

A big new story that’s been unfolding in the UK is the murder-suicide of the Foster family. Christopher Foster had a successful business, Ulva Ltd, which made insulation material for the oil industry. He had created a nice life for himself, his wife and daughter. A country manor, expensive cars and several horses. However his expenditure outstripped his income, and he was on the verge of bankruptcy.

On the night of August 25th-26th, after attending a barbecue with his family, Christopher Foster shot his wife and daughter and also killed the horses and pets; he then set fire to his house and turned the gun on himself.

There seems to be something of the ancient king about his behaviour. While on the surface he’s trying to spite the bailiffs, he seems, on some twisted, spiritual level, to be trying to take everything with him. Putting his possessions, including his wife and daughter, on a great big pyre, so they can join him in the hereafter.

Of course a more prosaic explanation might be that it’s an extreme form of manic-depression. The man was a good salesman – perhaps a latent mania spurring him on – and he was able to build up a successful business. Yet mania can create exaggerated perceptions – thinking he’s got more money than he’s actually got, and finding it difficult to curb expenditure. In other words, his excessive expenditure might have been the real sign of a mental illness, and not the murder-suicide.

But I don’t know, I’m an astrologer not a psychologist, and I don’t have Christopher Foster’s birth details.

Yet I do know when his company, Ulva Ltd, was incorporated. April 6 1998. The Sun was in Aries, conjunct Mercury. Mars was also in Aries, conjunct Saturn. This is an action-orientated company, that keeps going, that can get the orders. And the Mars-Saturn conjunction suggests a capacity for hard work.

However the final tragedy, over a decade later, is suggested by the company chart. Mars-Saturn conjunctions are associated with death, and Aries is the sign of the Zodiac connected with the head. And from the newspaper reports I’ve read, it seems that the wife and daughter were both shot in the head.

Furthermore, in the company chart the Moon is in Leo. This is a proud sign, that likes to put on a show. And this is perhaps indicative of Christopher Foster’s airs and graces – needing to keep up appearances, and his expenditure on a millionaire lifestyle contributing to the company’s demise.

Moving on a decade, to the night of the murder, and the Moon, in the last degree of Gemini, is making a stressful, 180-degree aspect to Pluto in Sagittarius. Christopher Foster was outwardly calm, but something was building up, represented by this Moon-Pluto contact. And then the explosion happened.

Followers of German astrologer Alfred Witte might also be interested by the Moon and Pluto’s aspects to the hypothetical planet Hades. If you believe it exists then it’s something to be very scared of.

Incidentally, the Moon was close to the fixed star Menkalinan. Vivian Robson gave it brief and simple description:

It causes ruin, disgrace, and frequently violent death.

QED.
