First things first. You’re a bit of a mega-Pisces, having the Sun, the Moon and Mercury in this sign. In fact, the day before you were born there was a Piscean New Moon.
When I advise a Pisces woman about her love life, I repeat the same mantra – ‘Be selfish, don’t allow yourself to be put on hold’. This mantra might not apply to your current situation, but I don’t think it will do you any harm to follow it.
Piscean women can martyr themselves to their love lives – making sacrifices for their partners, or hoped for partners, that never pay off. So, be very clear about your demands, and if anyone messes you around, or puts you on hold, I would suggest that you don’t have anything more to do with them.
Now, as far as your question is concerned, if I use simple star sign astrology I must tell you to go for the Taurus. Because Pisces and Taurus, all things being equal, is an excellent match – I give it a four-star compatibility rating.
Pisceans can sometimes drift all over the place, and Taureans are able to bring them down to earth. Or course you must appreciate that Taureans put a high premium on reliability, but if you want a secure, long-lasting relationship, and you’re not someone who plays silly games, then Taurus is a good bet.
On the other hand, Aquarius and Pisces can be a difficult match – which is why it only gets two stars. Aquarians tend to live in their heads, and they can be very stubborn. As a result, Pisceans might feel that their swimming into a brick wall.
However compatibility isn’t just about star signs. When I look at the Aquarian’s chart, I see that he has a conjunction between Venus and Mars, in Pisces. Venus-Mars conjunctions are about charisma and sex appeal, so it’s hardly surprising that you haven’t forgotten about him. There’s something about him that’s very attractive, that most other men just don’t have. And because his Venus-Mars conjunction is in Pisces, your own star sign, I think there’s a very real sexual chemistry. It’s intensified by the fact that you’ve got Mars in Scorpio. Mars is a male planet, and it says a lot about what you expect from the men in your life. This Mars is making a favourable, 120 degree aspect to the Aquarian’s Venus-Mars conjunction, creating further chemistry.
So, does this mean that you should attempt to go back to the Aquarian? If you’re looking for a long-term relationship, then the answer is probably no. Sexual attraction might be exciting, but it can also be a trap. For example, two people who don’t have much in common can become locked into a relationship that does neither party any good. Though I’m not saying that you and your old flame have nothing in common. I’m just suggesting that sexual chemistry has a down side.
With the Taurean, there is, I believe, less chemistry and less excitement, but on the plus side, there are probably fewer flash points. Also, from his point of view, you know how to bring out the best in him, and if you handle yourself in the right way, you can be a good influence.
To conclude, I would advise you to give it a go with your Taurean friend rather than go back to the Aquarian. But please bear in mind that it’s only advice, it’s only astrology. You’ve got to make your own decisions. There may be good points about the Aquarian, bad points about the Taurean, that I haven’t mentioned, that could be critically important. And it’s possible that neither is suitable, and that your perfect man is still out there, waiting to be discovered.
